Joanna Sierko-Filipowska was born February 13, 1960 in Bialystok (Poland). In 1985 she graduated with honors from the Graphic Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1986 she was awarded a grant from the artist’s Minister of Culture and Arts of Poland. She indeed belongs to an artistic family.
