If you want to make your user interface looks like crystal clear then you should adopt a few minimalistic methods while developing it. A complete minimalistic website would be easy for the users to visit and flow from one page to another. You can also improve a website by incorporating some minimalistic features into it.

A website becomes complicated for the users specially for those who are not quite familiar with it, when it is burdened with lots of images and contents. It sometimes fail to attract visitors conveying the message and the purpose of the site. Though it is not at all an easy task to find the proper quantity of minimalism for a particular site.
But following are some helpful tips which can teach you to do this:
Use of colors
Proper selection of color is quite important for a designer while designing a website. The colors that will be used in a website should match the theme and the brand of the organization on behalf of which the site is being developed. But too much color can be harmful for your site as it may appear too clumsy. It is suggested that two main colors and different shades of these two colors can be ideal for a site. But do not ever think of going with no colors.
Use of fonts
Many designers have a common tendency of paling and experimenting with different fonts while designing a single website. A standard website always pt for a clean and simple font which can be easier for the viewers to read. Rather it stresses more on the content than the fonts. A designer can use different size or font while writing the titles but the body of the content should be entirely written in the same font and size.
Easy navigation
Navigation is one of the most important part in a website and the designers should take this into account while designing sites. If the website do not have a proper navigation link then it will not be possible for the visitors to navigate from one page to another and find any particular information he or she is searching for. Therefore, it is necessary to place proper navigation in the website.
The term Easy navigation is synonymous to simple and clean navigation. It sometimes happen that a designer designs a navigation in quite a cleaver manner but the users specially those who are not quite familiar with this find it difficult to use the navigation. Then there is no use of using such navigations. While designing navigations you should think about the laymen who are computer illiterate to increase the number of traffics in the website. A user interface will be the worth only if it can be accessible to as many browser as possible.
The entire concept of developing a minimalistic website is based on giving importance only to the inclusions which are necessary for the website. Though sometimes we feel that a funny image or a cool graphic can increase the aesthetic value of the site and can offer a relaxing look to the visitors but we have to know whether this is really necessary for the site or not. You should consider whether a small logo instead of such image or graphics can do the same job. If the answer is yes then you should go for the logo to save space in the site and make it clear.
Once you finish designing the website you should go through it and check the minute details even before making it live for the public viewing. Check the site from the perspective of a layman. If you like then only make it live.
