Probably because of the immense development of the Internet and the gadgets on which it can be accessed, the term “design” is quickly associated with a website layout or a logo. Definitely it isn’t wrong but design means more and it is a sin to neglect these other aspects. In fact, design is everywhere; design is also when you arrange the icons on the desktop or when you put your tools in the office in order. There are many definitions but none is very interesting; I consider that design is when a usual thing is made functional but attractive at the same time. It is pretty simple: a device which works but isn’t nice (we can’t talk about design) won’t be liked by people and the final result is disastrous. Any object which is nice but does nothing is also a loss of time. In this context, it is clear, design should be everywhere and the first signs are beauty and functionality.
As I said design is everywhere, from your shoes (which need specific shapes, colors and materials) to architecture and science. It is subjective, but it doesn’t mean that it can’t work together with something more precise as math. YES, math!
One of the more amazing categories of backgrounds is made from the representations of the fractals. A fractal is, according to Wikipedia, “a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole, a property called self-similarity.” I am pretty sure that this definition can’t say too much but the final results are more than amazing. All these works are built on geometrical patterns and these could be also representations of super complicated equations (please don’t ask more because I was never good at math!!!).
